Candid Camera

Simple Bliss and Christine Bee got together for another shoot. You can check out the shop to see the perfect product shots created. But you know what other things were made?

Outtakes! Whee!

Awkward pose #1: my idea.

Awkward pose #2: Crystal's idea, my inability to execute.

Don't recall what this was about.

Distracted by ducks!

Come to me, baby ducks. I won't eat you - I'm vegetarian!

Distracted by Wendo.

Beautiful Wendo; not available for sale on Etsy. Yet.

Heart Two

I love the arts.

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

This morning I got to take 6-yr-old James and 4-yr-old Thomas (not the tank engines) to lunch and a movie. I knew our time would be priceless from the moment I strapped them into the car.

Thomas: We made up new numbers.

James: Mine was [fart noise]. [hysterical giggling]

T: My number was shoes and house. But pajamas is way higher than house.

J: You count them like, house one, house two, house three...

T: All the way up to house hundred!

And later during our drive, when I was lost because Google Maps told me to turn the wrong way,

T: I know the right way to go. But I can't tell you.

Me: Oh?

T: Yes, I know the right way to go, but it's a secret.

Me: Really?

T: Seriously.

Me: I have a secret about your secret.

[long pause]

T: I know.

They were completely hilarious from start to end, and I've decided I will always take little kids on dates and report our adventures back to you.

The Babysat

On the way to the park.

Bird sighted.

Bird approach attempted.

Foiled.

On the way home.

Coloring.

Meticulously coloring.

What two-year-old prodigy does this?!

The same one who gives this face instead of saying "please" for a cookie.
