They Lied

Whoever said anything was worse than a root canal lied. I had my first this morning, and though I'll spare you gruesome details, I can't resist some visceral words to make your stomach knot a little in sympathy:

GRINDING
SAWING
BLOOD
RIPPING
TEARING
DRILLING
STICKING WITH LARGE NEEDLES
MORE GRINDING.

And, while it took you 5 unpleasant seconds to read those unfriendly words, the actual canal-ing process took my dentist TWO and a HALF HOURS.

Thanks to an email from an Alanah and an email from a Susan, however, my day is going surprisingly joyfully.

So, hope all y'all's root canal days are as pleasant as mine.
